Marylou (Grummert) Schneidermann was born May 27, 1955, in Omaha, and was adopted by Elmer and Etta Mae (Vice) Grummert and passed away June 6, 2024, in Seward, at the age of 69 years and 10 days. 

Marylou grew up in Jansen and attended Fairbury Schools. After high school, she worked at Kellwood Industries as well as waitressing in the local bar. Marylou was united in marriage to Michael Woerner, and to this union, three children were born: Chris, Tracy, and Cory. The couple later divorced, and Marylou remarried Cordel Schneidermann on May 25, 2007, in Seward. She was employed at various jobs over the years, including daycare, med aide and Vyhnalek Trucking. After 22 years, she retired from Seward Motor Freight in August of 2022. In her younger years, Marylou was an avid Husker fan and enjoyed attending Husker football games. She also enjoyed knitting, reading and listening to oldies music. Marylou was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1992. 

Marylou is preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law; sister-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her husband, Cordel Schneidermann; children and their spouses, Chris (Kenni) Woerner, Tracy (Andrew) Stastny, and Cory (Ashley) Woerner; grandchildren, Elsie, Hayden, and Isabella Woerner, Mia and Zachary Stastny, JR and Evelyn Woerner; and brother, Bruce Grummert.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home in Seward with a private family inurnment and graveside service planned. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Schneidermann family for future designation. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
