Saline County Courthouse raising funds for flags

Resource rally helps 400 Crete families

Thanks to a partnership between Smithfield Foods, Feed the Children and Blue Valley Community Action, 400 Crete families in need were given food, household essentials and school supplies at a resource rally on Aug. 6. Shoe drive raises nearly $1,700

The Crete Eagles Club collected $1,675 and six pairs of shoes in its first annual shoe drive. The money will be split between children in need at Dorchester, Wilber-Clatonia and Crete Schools. Purchase a copy of the Wilber Republican or Friend Sentinel on Aug. 28 to learn more.
